Stathera Inc., an innovative fabless semiconductor firm, has recently closed a successful Series B financing round, raising an impressive $55 million. This oversubscribed funding round was spearheaded by Maverick Silicon, with participation from multiple notable investors including Celesta Capital, BDC Capital, MediaTek Innovation Fund, TXC Corporation, and Ultratech Capital Partners. With this latest influx of capital, Stathera's total funding now stands at a remarkable $75 million.
The new capital will primarily support the mass production of Stathera's GEN2 32.768 kHz silicon timing solutions, while simultaneously advancing the development of its next-generation platform tailored for artificial intelligence (AI) data centers. As part of this expansion, the company plans to establish a presence in Silicon Valley to engage with leading customers operating in AI and hyperscale data environments.
George Xereas, the CEO and co-founder of Stathera, emphasized the vital role of timing in the electronics industry, noting that AI has transformed this once-simple component into a critical piece of infrastructure. According to Xereas, the performance of AI data centers does not hinge solely on computational power, but rather on the speed and coherence with which data moves and synchronizes across numerous processors and their interconnected networks. Stathera's GEN2 product line, built with proprietary microfabrication technology, has reached the stage of mass production.
