Ascentiz has officially presented their groundbreaking H and K modules at the IFA 2026, making a significant mark in the field of wearable robotics. This innovative platform is the world's first modular exoskeleton system, featuring a shared Exo-Belt, interchangeable joint modules, and an open software platform designed for future adaptability.

Innovations in Motion


The modular design delivers numerous benefits for users. Ascentiz-H is engineered to assist with hip propulsion, facilitating walking, stair climbing, and running, ultimately enhancing mobility at higher speeds. Meanwhile, Ascentiz-K introduces Adaptive Knee Assistance, which combines dynamic knee support with sustained active support, expertly managing loads on flat ground, as well as during ascents and descents. Both modules utilize Adaptive Motion Intelligence technology, which adapts to changing movement conditions and provides real-time assistance tailored to user preferences.

The Case for Modularity


As the demand for consumer exoskeletons evolves, the decision lies in integrating all capabilities into a single all-encompassing device or creating a shared platform for various movement needs. Cody Kou, Vice President of Ascentiz, emphasizes the importance of modularity: "People do not move uniformly nor require the same type of assistance at all times. The Core of the System


At the heart of this innovation is the Exo-Belt, which integrates the battery, control unit, and algorithms necessary for operation. This component can host the H and K modules simultaneously while allowing for quick exchanges through its MOLLE rapid-release system. The H module propels the user forward and upward, while the K module offers adaptive knee assistance, featuring controlled braking and support during heavy loads and impacts.

Preparing for the Future with BodyOS


BodyOS is the foundational software and control platform developed by Ascentiz for their modular wearable robotics. Operating beneath the hardware, this system, along with AZ-Lock for the mechanical layer and CAN-FD for communication, provides a cohesive framework for the H, K, and future modules to operate seamlessly. BodyOS is designed to evolve through software upgrades and new hardware contributions from Ascentiz and the R&D community, with the source code set to be released in 2026.

Ascentiz-H is now available for purchase, priced at €1,599 for the H Pro version and €2,299 for the H Ultra version. The Ascentiz-K module retails for €2,399 for the K Pro model and €2,999 for the K Ultra. Dual configurations (H+K) are available for €3,599 (Pro Combo) and €3,999 (Ultra Combo). Availability for the K and H+K versions will be announced shortly.
