GO PLAY! - A New Adventure for Kids
GREEN SPRINGS, a vibrant complex in Tachikawa, Tokyo, is all set to host an exciting event designed especially for children, titled
'GO PLAY!'. Scheduled for
June 27 and 28, 2026, this two-day festival promises a plethora of workshops and fun-filled activities that will surely excite young minds!
The event will take place from
10:00 AM to 4:00 PM each day on the
2nd floor of GREEN SPRINGS. Parents and guardians can look forward to engaging with their kids in numerous interactive sessions and creative workshops to enhance their playful spirit.
Spotlight on Unique Activities
- - Traveling COW BOOKS will be visiting with a selection of handpicked second-hand books from around the world. Their motto is freedom, and they showcase a range of picture books perfect for parents and children to enjoy together. This charming mobile bookstore will be present on both days from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM at the PUBLIC SQUARE.
- - Another exciting feature is the Forest Quiz Contest hosted by KINO LAB from the Chuo University Faculty of Economics. Participants who contribute to a survey on a newly developed bubble hand soap will earn the chance to participate in the quiz, with fun medals awarded to those who answer all questions correctly. The quiz runs from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM at the PUBLIC SQUARE and is free of charge!
Workshops and Hands-On Experiences
Kids looking for hands-on experiences can participate in a
Dog Trainer Experience facilitated by
DOG&CAT JOKER. Youngsters will learn to care for puppies and engage in training activities, receiving a memento (graduation certificate and keepsake) at the end. This paid event, at
1,100 JPY, will have two sessions each day at
1:00 PM and 3:00 PM, with a limit of three participants per session, pre-registration required at

For those interested in arts and crafts, several workshops will be available:
1.
ECO Dyeing Workshop: Create a personalized eco-bag using safe dyes. Attendees can bring their own cloth items for dyeing as well. Participation is
500 JPY per item, and setup time is around
30 minutes.

Plush Doll Charms: Kids can make their very own plush doll charms using various fluffy parts, promoting creativity for
1,500 JPY.
3.
Chouchou Making: Using remnants of stage costumes, children will design their own hair scrunchies for only
500 JPY.
Special Events on June 28
On the second day, additional unique experiences await:
- - PLAY! SPRINGS will transform GREEN SPRINGS into a flower field, encouraging participants to create and decorate their own paper flowers. This activity costs 500 JPY and lasts about 30 minutes.
- - Original Crayon Making will allow kids to create crayons of their favorite colors and shapes for a fee starting at 1,000 JPY.
- - Rainbow Secrets Workshop: Enhancing non-cognitive skills in a fun way, this program encourages parental involvement and enhances how parents engage and communicate with their children. The fee for materials is 500 JPY, with sessions running throughout the day.
