What Awaits You at OTO MART
The concept behind OTO MART is simple yet profoundly engaging: an extraordinary showcase of sound. Visitors can enjoy everything from animal calls to unique sound effects – think fart noises to jazz saxophones – allowing for a fascinating journey through different auditory experiences.
What makes this exhibition special is not just the variety of sounds on display. All sounds can be layered together to create unique compositions. Imagine combining the soothing tone of a violin with the rhythmic beat of traditional mochitsuki (rice pounding) alongside festival music; you can create over
9.999 trillion different sound combinations! This innovative approach enables participants not just to listen but also to express their creativity through sound.
How to Enjoy OTO MART
Step 1: Start by exploring the exhibition panels, each featuring one of over 500 unique sounds. Interested in a particular sound? Simply scan the QR code with your smartphone to hear it play!
Step 2: Once you've found your favorite sounds, tap 'Get' on your smartphone to collect them. You can accumulate a maximum of nine different sounds simultaneously, and feel free to switch them out whenever you like!
Step 3: Combine the sounds you've gathered and listen to your personalized audio masterpiece! You can even adjust the tempo to your liking, giving you the freedom to remix as you please. Completed sounds can be shared through links or saved as unique postcards to take home.
