Meet the Artist: Sanshirou

Known as a pioneer among street musicians, Sanshirou has traveled from New York to Paris and London, sharing his passion for music with the world. He is a graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, and after debuting with CBS/Sony, he has been at the forefront of the world music movement. His collaborations include noteworthy performances with Yoko Ono and Sean Lennon, making him a prominent figure in the international music scene. With over 40 years of experience, the warmth and compassion in his saxophone melodies promise to delight and engage all audiences.

Restaurant Pyrenees: A Culinary Journey

Restaurant Pyrenees, under the management of the Shimada Group based in Shibuya, Tokyo, embodies the spirit of the Pyrenees mountains, focusing on seasonal ingredients sourced from the region. The restaurant features a striking fireplace that slowly roasts carefully selected local ingredients such as the famed Chiyo-Genshu pork, bone-in dry-aged beef, and young chicken. Each dish is expertly prepared using wood-fired techniques to bring out the natural flavors of the ingredients.

On the night of the event, guests can anticipate a special course meal designed specifically for the occasion. The menu includes exquisite appetizers featuring organic vegetables from the restaurant’s own farm, paired with fresh seafood direct from the Sea of Japan. With both counter and table seating available, as well as sheltered outdoor seating for pets (not accessible during events), the restaurant offers a range of dining options to enhance your experience.

A Wine Cellar Like No Other

At Restaurant Pyrenees, wine lovers will truly appreciate the extensive wine cellar, boasting over 4,000 carefully curated bottles. The sommelier will guide you in selecting the perfect wine to complement your meal, ranging from high-quality options starting in the 5,000 JPY range to vintage wines for special occasions. For those seeking something unique, the private cellar houses rare collections that can elevate any dining experience.

Sister Establishment: Auberge de Primavera

Just a five-minute walk from the restaurant is the sister establishment, Auberge de Primavera. This French-inspired venue emphasizes local cuisine paired with comfortable accommodations. Since opening in 1996, it has welcomed many prominent guests, including local vacation homeowners and former Prime Ministers. Following a complete renovation in August 2025, the auberge now exudes a refined atmosphere that blends classic charm with modern touches.
