Haru Shin:

• - A top athlete during his university years, graduating from Chukyo University with a third-place finish in the All Japan Intercollegiate Championships 5000m.
• - After a brief competitive career with Chugoku Electric Power, he pivoted to a highly successful career in sales before taking over the coaching role at Aoyama Gakuin University in 2004.
• - Under his guidance, the team won their first overall championship at the 2015 Hakone Ekiden, followed by an impressive renewal of records in 2024, marking their seventh overall victory and setting new benchmarks.
