Lumine, a leading retailer based in Shibuya, Tokyo, has launched an exciting new pop-up store in Paris as part of its "tokyo sense" project. This initiative aims to introduce the unique spirit and aesthetic of Japanese craftsmanship to a global audience. The pop-up opened on June 14, 2026, and was preceded by a vibrant launch event on June 13, which saw an impressive turnout of around 300 guests, primarily from the fashion industry. The high attendance reflects a growing interest in Japanese craftsmanship and culture in the local market.

The opening event exceeded expectations, attracting more than twice the anticipated crowd. Fashion professionals, art enthusiasts, and design aficionados from France and neighboring countries flocked to the pop-up, eager to explore the offerings. The event showcased a diverse range of items, including fashion, crafts, beauty products, jewelry, and art books. Among these, the fashion category stood out, particularly the tops made from high-quality materials, featuring seamless whole-garment knits and minimalistic, clean designs. Additionally, many attendees were drawn to the art books published by renowned Japanese galleries, further highlighting the local interest in Japanese art and culture.
