Set in a modern imperial city where humans clash with dark creatures known as 'ayakashi', the story follows Kano, a young woman born into a noble family. However, her life takes a dark turn when she is marked as a sacrifice to the ayakashi and confined within her family's mansion. Just when despair settles in, she encounters the War God of the imperial city, Toru Tsukimori, who boldly declares, "I have come to take you, the branded girl." From that moment on, Kano's fate dramatically shifts.
