Experience Yosemite's Iconic Firefall with Ease
Spring is upon us, and with it comes one of nature's most breathtaking displays—the Firefall phenomenon at Yosemite National Park. This stunning event occurs each winter when the setting sun hits the Horsetail Fall just right, creating an illusion of molten lava cascading down El Capitan's sheer granite face. Seeing it in person is undoubtedly a bucket-list experience for adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike, and now it's more accessible than ever thanks to Evergreen Lodge and Rush Creek Lodge & Spa.
A Unique Opportunity
From February 8 to 23, 2025, guests can partake in the
Yosemite Firefall Express—a curated shuttle service designed to provide hassle-free access to this incredible natural spectacle. This exclusive service aims to simplify the experience while also reducing traffic congestion inside the national park. By offering a guided approach, guests don't have to navigate complex reservation systems; they can focus entirely on enjoying this rare event.
Comfort and Convenience
Imagine being whisked away from your lodge in a comfortable shuttle, complete with local guides who provide insights and help select the perfect vantage point to view the Firefall. Guests can enjoy round-trip transport to Yosemite Valley, along with chairs, blankets, and hot chocolate for a cozy viewing experience. With vehicle access restricted in the area, there's a scenic walk of just over a mile on level ground to reach the ideal photography spot.
This guided shuttle will operate for the final three weekends in February, with departures from both Rush Creek Lodge and Evergreen Lodge at 2 PM. Guests will return approximately at 8 PM after experiencing this wondrous event. Shuttles allow bypassing the park's reservation requirements, securing access straight away.
Pricing and Availability
The pricing for the Firefall Express is set at
$110 for adults and
$80 for youths aged 8-15. Additionally, Yosemite Park charges a
$20 admission fee for visitors aged 16 and older unless they already possess a Yosemite or America the Beautiful annual pass or can demonstrate recent entry (within three days).
This shuttle service welcomes all, including those staying outside these lodges or at the affiliate property, Firefall Ranch. Given the popularity of the Firefall event, early booking is strongly encouraged to secure a spot.
