MOTUL Oil Dominates the Podium at the Suzuka 8-Hour Endurance Race

The Suzuka 8-Hour endurance race, held in challenging conditions, was an extraordinary showcase of engineering and endurance, where every second counted. Honda's work team, HRC, achieved an impressive four consecutive victories with the CBR1000RR-R, placing them at the forefront of the competition. Meanwhile, Yamaha's #21 YAMAHA RACING TEAM celebrated their 70th anniversary with a striking white and red livery on the YZF-R1, finishing in second place. Completing the podium was #1 YOSHIMURA SERT MOTUL, a Suzuki team that overcame early setbacks and fierce competition to clinch a remarkable third place.

The extreme heat of the Tokai region, where temperatures climbed to disaster-level highs, put both engine protection and performance to the ultimate test. Amidst scorching pavement temperatures of 60 degrees Celsius, the riders accelerated at an average speed of 160 km/h, covering a grueling distance of 1258 km in just 8 hours. The engines revved beyond 12,000 RPM—territory rarely accessed by consumers. In this environment, MOTUL's engine oil ensured both power and protection, critical for team success. Any malfunction could mean a significant drop in ranking, which prompts team managers to rigorously test and match their machines with the right oil before the race.

In 2025, approximately half of the 55 teams participating in Suzuka opted for MOTUL's products, a decisive choice aimed solely at victory.
