Experience the Best of Fukushima's Coastal Delicacies in Osaka! Fukumisa Tohoku Grand Fish Market Returns

Experience the Taste of Fukushima in Osaka!

From January 23 to 25, 2026, Osaka will host the Fukumisa Tohoku Grand Fish Market, a special event spotlighting the unique seafood products from the coastal areas of Fukushima. This initiative, managed by Space One Co., Ltd., aims to support local businesses in enhancing their market reach via the Fukushima Mirai Challenge Project (https://fukushima-challenge.jp/). The event will be held at Daiki Suisan Maguro Park, welcoming visitors with a vibrant array of fresh seafood products.

A Celebration of Local Flavors

Following the success of last year's event, which received positive feedback and significant interest, this year’s market promises a delightful culinary journey. Attendees can look forward to top-selling items like the boiled Japanese octopus from Maru Roku Sato Suisan, renowned for its excellent quality. Additionally, the event will feature a flavorful array of octopus products from Kaneishi Shoten, known for their unique vinegar-marinated octopus offerings, lovingly crafted with a special blend of vinegar and apple juice.

Furthermore, visitors can indulge in the popular Fukushima B-grade gourmet dish, Nami-e Yakisoba, characterized by its thick noodles and rich sauce, proudly served by Asahiya. Pair your meal with delicious miso-marinated cream cheese from Sugano Tsukemono Foods, an ideal accompaniment to wine or sake.

As part of the event, local favorites, such as various types of satsuma-age (Japanese fish cakes) from Iwashita Shoten, will be available for tasting. These delectable items can be enjoyed in multiple ways, whether straight from the package, grilled, or included in hot pot dishes. Don’t miss this chance to explore and savor the craftsmanship behind Fukushima's culinary delights!
