After a lengthy hiatus, the play was revived in 1981 by the eminent actor Ichikawa Ennosuke III. This production is exceptionally popular within the Sawamuraya troupe, with 12 revivals already to its name, making it a significant part of “San Dai Ennosuke’s 48 Selections”.
