New Photography Studio Set to Open in Tokyo
On September 12, 2025, Kuppography will launch a new photography studio in the bustling Takanawa Gateway City within the commercial facility, Newman Takanawa. This emerging studio will accentuate the concept of “an art gallery where people are the main feature.”
Kuppography has already established its presence with four studios in locations such as Komazawa Park, Yokohama Kohoku, Fukuoka, and Okinawa. The new Takanawa studio will focus on capturing the delicate emotions and interactions that define family moments, offering a serene space for families to create lasting memories.
Studio Concept: People as the Centerpiece of Art
Traditionally, art galleries showcase paintings, sculptures, and other artistic works. However, Kuppography redefines art as creations that resonate with human emotions. This philosophy led to the creation of the Takanawa studio. Family photographs taken there can evoke a strong emotional response, making the act of capturing them a form of art in itself.
Within the studio's tranquil ambiance, families will have the opportunity to capture their shared warmth and gentle gazes in photographs that reflect their unique stories. The studio provides a luxurious yet peaceful environment conducive to creating these cherished moments.
A Luxurious Experience of Simply Being Together
One of the standout features of the new studio is a room named
Still. In an era where constant information bombardment makes it hard to disconnect,
Still offers a lavish space to enjoy simply being with loved ones. It is carefully designed with seasonal floral arrangements that welcome families and a silver stainless-steel bench that casts a serene glow in the surroundings. The bench’s metallic texture complements the warm presence of those who visit, enhancing the family's bond and making each moment together richer and more beautiful.
A Studio Open to the Public
Kuppography aims to shed the closed nature often associated with traditional photo studios. The Takanawa studio is designed to be open and welcoming, allowing passersby to feel more connected to the photography experience. After a photoshoot, a slideshow featuring the captured moments will be visible to onlookers, allowing them to glimpse everyday joy. Additionally, a small window framed like a picture will enable passersby to peek into live photography sessions, sharing a slice of happiness with the community.
