DPR Construction Strengthens Leadership Team in the Southwest Region
DPR Construction, a leading name in technical construction, recently unveiled significant changes within its leadership team in the Southwest region, aimed at enhancing efficiency and service delivery. With an evolving construction landscape and growing demand for specialized expertise, these leadership transitions are designed to ensure continued excellence in service for customers across Southern California and Arizona.
In a noteworthy shift,
Gretchen Kinsella is taking on the role of the Southwest Region Self-Perform Work (SPW) Leader. Having joined DPR as an intern in 2001, Kinsella brings a wealth of experience gained over the years, where she has excelled in risk management, operations, and people development. Her extensive background has not only made her the youngest project executive for DPR in Phoenix but has also equipped her with a deep understanding of how self-perform work can generate value for clients.
In her statement, Kinsella expressed her enthusiasm for her new role, saying, “I am excited to step into this region-wide role and continue building on the successes our project teams and self-perform crews have produced.” She acknowledged the challenges the industry faces, particularly the ongoing labor shortage and the high expectations of customers regarding the speed and quality of construction work. Under her leadership, Kinsella aims to leverage self-perform work to mitigate these challenges, ultimately contributing to more reliable outcomes.
Taking over Kinsella's prior role,
Nathan Lentz will now lead DPR's Arizona Business Unit, which includes the operations in Phoenix and Tucson. Lentz joined DPR in 2010 and has held various leadership roles, including overseeing DPR’s Special Services Group. He is expected to bring innovative practices from his previous roles, aiming to enhance project execution and client satisfaction in Arizona.
Meanwhile,
Marc Ness will co-lead the Southern California Business Unit alongside
Alicia Loh Ortiz. Having started as a project manager in 2014, Ness has a strong background in self-perform work, making him well-positioned to oversee teams and projects across Southern California. His experience in the field will be vital in helping clients assess value while ensuring certainty in costs and timelines.
These strategic leadership transitions are a testament to DPR Construction's commitment to adapting to the demands of the market. Founded in 1990, DPR has established itself as a forward-thinking, employee-owned general contractor dedicated to delivering high-quality, technically complex projects. The company operates across various sectors, including advanced technology, life sciences, healthcare, higher education, and commercial markets. Known for its ability to navigate the intricacies of construction, DPR consistently strives for predictable outcomes through innovation and a focus on customer needs.
