Orvana Minerals Corp. Reports Q3 FY2026 Results and Production Updates from Bolivia

Orvana Minerals Corp. (TSX: ORV) has recently shared its results for the third quarter of fiscal year 2026, marked by pivotal advancements in their operations in Bolivia. Following logistical challenges during May and June, the company has entered a critical phase of ramp-up in commercial production at its Don Mario operation. Juan Gavidia, CEO of Orvana, expressed enthusiasm over the launch of their new copper cathodes and revamped gold-silver dore circuits in Bolivia, highlighting the focus on safe and disciplined growth strategies that are essential for stable output.

Operational Highlights

Orvana has completed the commissioning of important production units, including crushing, milling, and acid leaching processes. These systems are now operational, with the establishment of copper PLS (Pregnant Leach Solution) and gold-silver cake production marked since July. The ramp-up initiatives are in full swing, with stable commercial production expected by September 2026.

Addressing Recent Challenges

Despite substantial civil unrest earlier this year, which brought about 53 days of nationwide strikes and blockades affecting logistics, Orvana has navigated these hurdles effectively. The logistics challenges resulted in a 60 to 90-day delay in project execution timelines. However, operations have now returned to normal, allowing for renewed production plans for the remainder of fiscal year 2026.

Revised Production Guidance

The company has updated its fiscal 2026 guidance due to these delays. Notably, the projected gold production has been revised down to between 4,200 and 4,700 ounces, while copper output is expected at 1.9 to 2.1 million pounds for the year. This adjustment acknowledges the discrepancies in logistics and operational performance, aligning the projections realistically with market conditions.

Performance at Orovalle in Spain

In addition to Bolivian operations, Orvana's Orovalle project in Spain has also shown encouraging results. The mining operation yielded approximately 10,833 gold equivalent ounces in Q3 FY2026, reflecting a 10% increase from the previous quarter. This improvement is attributed to enhanced ore processing activities and operational efficiencies at the El Valle Boinás and Carlés mines.

Exploration Initiatives at Taguas Project in Argentina

Moreover, the Taguas project in Argentina has entered a new phase following a successful drilling campaign. The company has acquired the Evelina property, expanding the exploration area significantly, which enhances the potential for future discoveries and development. Continued geological studies and exploration efforts are currently underway to define future drilling priorities.

Financial Overview

Despite the operational disruptions, Orvana managed to report a revenue increase to $45.685 million for Q3 FY2026, in comparison to $26.982 million during the same quarter last year. Additionally, the company posted a net income of $18.518 million, showcasing the resilience and adaptability of its business model.

As Orvana prepares for its upcoming production phases, it emphasizes that achieving economic stability, while executing its strategic growth initiatives, remains a top priority. The company is committed to balancing operational challenges and market fluctuations to ensure a successful ramp-up in Bolivia, alongside progress in Spain and Argentina.

In summary, Orvana Minerals Corporation's Q3 FY2026 results reflect a blend of successful operational developments and strategic adjustments, marking crucial milestones as it pivots towards stable and robust production capabilities in the mining sector. Upcoming months will be critical as the company seeks to stabilize production and further expand its footprint across South America.
