Satoshi Kon Birthday Festival 2026 will take place at Ikebukuro HUMAX Cinemas and Shibuya HUMAX Cinema, scheduled to align with the director's birth month, October. This special event is organized by
Humanax Entertainment, under the leadership of President Michio Akimoto. It promises a unique celebration of the artistic legacy that Satoshi Kon left the world.
Kicking off on
October 9, the festival will feature a series of showings of four of Kon’s acclaimed animated films produced by MADHOUSE, alongside a special television series. Highlights include a late-night screening of
Paranoia Agent and a multitude of engaging events, including panel talks with special guests and a pop-up shop. Attendees can also look forward to exclusive gifts and original themed beverages and merchandise available during the festival.
