Exploring the Creative Power Connecting Society at Musashino Art University

Musashino Art University, located in Koganei City, Tokyo, is presenting a unique exhibition titled "Creativity Connecting Society—A Perspective on Local Time and Landscape through Musashino Art University's Social Collaboration." This initiative introduces various social collaboration projects the university has been engaged in, aiming to foster deeper societal connections.

Exhibition Overview

The exhibition is set to take place at the university's Shibuya campus, specifically at the social collaboration hub known as 1/M (Ichim). The event will run from October 31, 2025, to November 20, 2025, and will be open every day during this period. An opening reception, which requires prior reservation, will occur on November 1, 2025.

In contemporary society, the coexistence of diverse values often leads to misunderstandings and conflicts. Art and design have the creative potential to serve as tools for communication, facilitating shared perspectives and the formation of new communities. The exhibition aims to shed light on how creativity can stitch together the fabric of society, creating bonds and fostering a better future.

Through a showcase of eight collaborative projects birthed from a wide range of research areas within the university, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the concept of how creativity plays a vital role in connecting people and communities. The focus lies on visualizing the intangible connections that emerge from collaborative creative efforts.
