Unique Art Exhibition in Aoyama
Pasona Heartful, a subsidiary of Pasona Group, is set to host a remarkable art exhibition featuring the works of artist Makoto Nakagaki. Titled
Art Village Exhibit - Makoto Nakagaki Solo Exhibition, this event will take place from May 12 to May 17 at the Annex Aoyama in Minato, Tokyo. The exhibition aims to shine a spotlight on the artistic talents of employees with disabilities, a mission close to the heart of Pasona Heartful, which believes that "talent knows no disability."
In total, 20 stunning pieces created by Nakagaki will be on display, featuring a blend of colorful patterns and a unique artistic expression that highlights both creativity and skill. Nakagaki's art is known for its vivid colors and intricate textures, bringing each piece to life in an engaging manner. Visitors will have the chance to explore his impressive portfolio that encapsulates his passion and dedication to art.
Pasona Heartful was founded in 1992 with the purpose of expanding employment opportunities in the art sector for individuals who face difficulties in traditional job markets. Since 2004, the organization has been employing artist employees, currently numbering 23, who express their individuality through their creative endeavors. Through events like this exhibition, Pasona Heartful seeks to provide a platform for these artists to share their stories and works with the public.

About Makoto Nakagaki
Makoto Nakagaki was born in Kanagawa Prefecture in 1988 and has been a part of Pasona Heartful since 2007. Starting his career in a bakery, he later transitioned to focus on his artistic pursuits, with a significant turning point coming in 2015 when he began to showcase his artwork, including notable exhibitions. His work achieved recognition in 2025 when a piece inspired by ammonite was featured in merchandise sold during the Osaka-Kansai Expo.
Artist's Comment
"I've loved painting since I was a child. Being an artist employee allows me to make art as my work, which makes me very fulfilled. Moving forward, I aim to continue improving my craft and produce even more beautiful works."
