About the Production
This whimsical musical marks a celebration of TipTap's
20th anniversary and is directed by the talented
Kazugo Ueda, who has been at the helm of many musicals including works for Toho. Building on the narrative of the 1956 horror film
'Invasion of the Body Snatchers', the show draws inspiration from the
StarKid Productions original premiered in 2018 in Los Angeles. It promises an exhilarating blend of comedy, horror, and musical numbers, unraveling a story that is both entertaining and absurd.

Kousei Mizuta, who previously collaborated with Ueda on
'Reefer Madness', as the lead character, Paul, a man who despises musicals. Opposite him, the talented

'Play a Life' with her powerful singing, takes on the role of Emma, a café attendant who shares Paul's aversion to the spontaneous musical outbursts occurring around them.

Plot Synopsis

Together, they embark on a quest to uncover the mystery of these strange occurrences by seeking help from a university professor. Will this duo—one who dislikes musicals and the other aspiring to be a musical actress—be able to save the town?
