ICP DAS-BMP to Unveil Cutting-Edge Medical TPU Innovations at COMPAMED 2026
From November 16 to 19, 2026, ICP DAS-BMP, a Taiwanese manufacturer specializing in medical-grade TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane), will take center stage at COMPAMED 2026, held at the Messe Düsseldorf exhibition center in Germany, booth C09 in hall 8b. The company is set to introduce a range of innovative TPU solutions, including a new initiative known as the Taiwan TPU Alliance.
Medical Innovations on Display
At the exhibition, the focus will be on two groundbreaking TPU offerings: the low migration and low friction ranges. The Arothane™ ARP-B20 series, designed for implantable devices, adheres to ISO 10993 standards and is suitable for implantation durations of up to 90 days. This formulation minimizes the migration of additives to the surface of medical devices, ensuring long-term stability.
The low friction TPU range boasts an intrinsically smooth surface that eliminates the need for coatings or finishing treatments. Made entirely from TPU and free from PFAS and plasticizers, this innovative material enhances comfort and control during the handling of invasive catheters with guidewires.
Comprehensive Solutions for Medical Devices
Additionally, ICP DAS-BMP will showcase its ARP, ALP, and ALC series of supporting devices, tailored for limited, extended, and long-term contact durations, all in accordance with ISO 10993-1. For radiopaque applications, the ARP/ALP/ALC-B20/B40 series features 20 to 40 percent barium sulfate, while the ARP-W/WG series contains 40 to 60 percent tungsten, enhancing the visibility of invasive or implantable devices. The Arothane™ EARP series offers transparency and mechanical strength for orthodontic and precision components.
Joining Forces: The Taiwan TPU Alliance
During COMPAMED 2026, ICP DAS-BMP will join the Taiwan TPU Alliance, an initiative spearheaded by Towards Buddha Co., Ltd., a leading TPU tubing manufacturer. This alliance aims to unite industry partners, including INTYPE ENTERPRISE CO., LTD., a manufacturer of extrusion machines, and Chi Feng Co., Ltd., specialists in injection-molded components. Other partners include A-MAX TECHNOLOGY CO., LTD., which provides auxiliary equipment for the rubber and plastics industries, and ANEST IWATA SPARMAX Co., Ltd., a manufacturer of air compressors and vacuum pumps. Together, they bring comprehensive expertise across the entire TPU value chain and medical device manufacturing, from medical-grade TPU materials to injection molding, extrusion machinery, auxiliary equipment, and air and vacuum systems.
