Interverse Society Implementation Symposium 2026
The Cabinet Office, along with the Interverse Society Implementation Promotion Meta Consortium, is excited to announce the upcoming "2025 Interverse Society Implementation Symposium" scheduled for February 5, 2026, at the Shinagawa Grand Hall, Tokyo. This event promises to be a significant milestone as we address the burgeoning interconnection between the physical world (Universe) and virtual spaces (Metaverse) - the so-called "Interverse."
The symposium aims to unveil specific strategies and initiatives regarding how Japan's industry, academia, and government can collaboratively innovate technology development and realize societal implementation and commercialization in the face of a projected virtual economy worth 1.6 trillion yen locally and 350 billion dollars globally over the next decade. This event will serve as a platform to share practical insights and pathways to realize these goals.
Event Highlights
The main venue will host sessions providing an overview of the latest trends in societal implementation through technological development, standardization, and regulatory frameworks designed to create business opportunities, markets, and economic zones within the Interverse. Additionally, participants will receive guidance on joining the Interverse Society Implementation Promotion Meta Consortium and an overview of various subgroup activities.
In the exhibition area, we will showcase nine themes related to cutting-edge robotics, physical AI, human augmentation, body sharing in medical and healthcare fields, and the creation of Interverse-based smart cities rooted in emotional information. Each demonstration will reveal the innovative potential of these technologies and highlight the collaborative environment we hope to foster during the event.
Simultaneously, for those unable to attend in person, there will be an online streaming option, allowing a wider audience to experience the excitement and tangible benefits of technology commercialization as various partnerships emerge.
We sincerely invite everyone interested in the evolving business landscape of the Interverse and its role in shaping the global market to participate in this enriching symposium.
