Woofstock 2025: A Celebration of Dogs and Community
On September 7, 2025, Rescue Village will proudly host the 32nd annual
Woofstock, an event that has become a beloved tradition in the Cleveland area. This lively festival, filled with thousands of dogs, vibrant music, a variety of food trucks, and a strong sense of community spirit, will take place at the
Cleveland Metroparks Polo Field from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. It promises to be an exciting day for families and their pets while raising funds for homeless animals in need.
The
Woofstock festival is not just any gathering; it is a recognized event that has won the title of
Best of the East three times, as voted by readers of Cleveland Magazine. The festival is known for its heartwarming atmosphere, where nearly 10,000 attendees and over 4,000 dogs gather every year to support Rescue Village’s noble cause. This year, thanks to dedicated sponsors, Woofstock has already raised over
$141,000, aided by additional
$17,500 in-kind support from various partners.
Sponsors and Support
The festival wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of its sponsors, notably
Solon Manufacturing Company as the Presenting Sponsor. Top Dog Sponsors such as
ANI (Archaeological Networks Inc.),
Embrace Pet Insurance,
Chagrin Valley Soap & Salve Company, and
SwiftPaws will also contribute to the event’s success. Additional backing from
CG Accounting,
MAP Construction HVAC & Roofing,
Onyx Creative,
Parker, and the
Wenk Family Charitable Foundation demonstrates the community’s commitment to animal welfare.
Diane Popovich, CEO of Solon Manufacturing, emphasizes the importance of supporting Rescue Village: “We are humbled by the opportunity to contribute to the lifesaving efforts of Rescue Village through a Woofstock sponsorship. We urge everyone to support this mission and have fun while doing it!”
A Day for Families and Pets
Kenneth Clarke, the Executive Director at Rescue Village, states, “Woofstock is a day for families and their dogs to enjoy together while also supporting animals who still need homes.” The festival features various activities for attendees, including
dog games,
lure courses,
dock diving, and, of course, an array of
food trucks and
live music. The highlight remains the simple yet joyous act of “dog watching,” which surveys reveal as the favorite activity for visitors each year.
This year’s Woofstock signifies more than just a fun day out; it plays a crucial role in supporting the lifesaving work that has earned
Rescue Village national acclaim. Just last year, the organization was recognized by
Miranda Lambert’s MuttNation Foundation as one of the top shelters in the USA. This prestigious accolade was made possible by the collective efforts of the community during events like Woofstock.
