Strengthen Your Writing Skills this Winter

This winter, Benesse's renowned Writing Expression School is hosting a special course aimed at elementary school students preparing for public junior high school entrance exams. With a solid 20 years of experience in providing writing instruction, Benesse offers a comprehensive program for 5th and 6th graders. The program is open to all students, even those not currently enrolled in the Benesse Writing Expression School.

Course Overview

The program, called “Winter Special Writing Course for Public Junior High School Entrance Exams,” aims to equip students with the essential skills needed to write effective essays. Participants will engage in live online classes through Zoom, supported by personalized feedback on their writing. The curriculum focuses on five crucial points for entrance exam essays:

1. Understanding the Required Theme: Students will learn to grasp the prompt and its requirements thoroughly.
2. Logical Expression of Ideas: Emphasis on structuring thoughts clearly and logically.
3. Meeting Formatting Requirements: Guidance on adhering to word limits and paragraph structure.
4. Using Appropriate Japanese Expressions: Techniques to apply correct language styles.
5. Time Management Skills: Training to complete essays within the allotted time.

With these techniques, students will develop confidence in their writing abilities, ensuring they can produce essays that minimize penalties and maximize scores.

Course Details

The winter courses are divided into sessions tailored specifically for 6th and 5th graders, each focusing on different aspects of writing.

For 6th Graders:

• - Duration: Two live sessions over two consecutive days.
• - Dates: December 25th and 26th.
• - Time Options: Choose one of the following:

- 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
- 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
- 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

For 5th Graders:

• - Duration: One live session.
• - Dates: January 6th and 7th (multiple session times).
• - Time Options: Choose one:

- 9:00 AM - 10:30 AM
- 5:00 PM - 6:30 PM
- 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

All sessions will take place online via Zoom, providing an engaging and interactive learning environment. Students will receive specialized textbooks and writing assignments for practice, with class sizes limited to just six per group, allowing for personalized attention from instructors.

Tuition Fee

• - For the 6th-grade course: ¥9,900 (tax included), covering two days of instruction along with materials and feedback.
• - For the 5th-grade course: ¥3,300 (tax included), including course materials and feedback for one session.
