The season kicks off with two thrilling matchups featuring formidable teams that clashed in last season's playoffs. The opening game will showcase the New York Knicks facing off against the Boston Celtics on Saturday, October 25, 2025, at 8:30 AM. Following that, at 11:00 AM, fans can enjoy the Minnesota Timberwolves battling the Los Angeles Lakers.
Emirates NBA Cup 2025
Starting November 1, 2025, group play for the Emirates NBA Cup will commence and run for five consecutive weeks. "NBA on Prime" will stream two spotlight games every Saturday throughout this period. Notably, the final day of group play on November 29 will feature the Milwaukee Bucks against the New York Knicks and the Dallas Mavericks versus the Los Angeles Lakers, marking must-see events. Furthermore, the knockout round will be available, with all seven games from the quarterfinals to the finals being streamed live.
Key Regular Season Games
The 2025-26 season promises a lineup of unmissable regular-season games. On December 6, catch the Celtics host the Lakers, two of the NBA's most storied rivals. January 24 will see a rematch of last year's NBA Finals as the Indiana Pacers take on the Oklahoma City Thunder. February 6 features a highly anticipated game between the Chicago Bulls and the Toronto Raptors, highlighting the play of standout player Kawamura. Moreover, on April 10, the rivalry will intensify as LeBron James's Lakers clash with Stephen Curry's Golden State Warriors. Each of these matchups are sure to provide thrilling basketball action, and franchises like the Oklahoma City Thunder, Los Angeles Lakers, New York Knicks, and Golden State Warriors will respectively feature in ten games throughout the season on "NBA on Prime."
SoFi Play-In Tournament and Playoffs Coverage
Mark your calendars for April 15, 16, and 18, 2026, as Prime Video will stream six games from the SoFi Play-In Tournament. Additionally, around one-third of the playoff games will also be available, including all games from the Western Conference Finals and the NBA Finals.
Prior to each game, a pregame show will be streamed 30 minutes in advance, and following the game, fans can tune into the post-game show featuring player interviews and a detailed analysis with the hour-long program, "NBA Nightcap."
