Northern Tool Legends Build with Kyle Petty: A New Show on RACER Network

Launch of Northern Tool Legends Build with Kyle Petty

The highly anticipated television series, 'Northern Tool Legends Build with Kyle Petty,' makes its debut on RACER Network on October 28. This innovative series, which stands out as the first of its kind, aims to put a spotlight on the future of trades by featuring high school students who are exploring career and technical education (CTE).

A Show of Hands-On Learning

The series consists of four episodes that will be aired weekly, specifically created to inspire a new generation of skilled workers. At the heart of the series are students from LaVergne High School in Tennessee, who take on an exciting challenge called the Legends Challenge Student Build. This project involves transforming a Harley-Davidson Nightster into an XR750-inspired flat-track motorcycle. Throughout the series, these aspiring builders receive invaluable mentorship from renowned racers and builders, showcasing the importance of guidance and professional support in learning trades.

Frank Crowson, Chief Commercial Officer at Northern Tool + Equipment, shared insights about the project. He expressed pride in the students’ remarkable efforts: "These students did such great work on this build, and we're thrilled for them to see their accomplishments come to life on the big screen." He added that witnessing the dedication, creativity, and teamwork exhibited throughout the build was both a privilege and a source of excitement for the RACER Network audience.

Looking Forward to Future Projects

In addition to the current series, Northern Tool plans to continue its commitment to fostering the next wave of tradespeople. Their new project, titled 'America's Ultimate Trades Toolbox™,' is slated to be featured on RACER Network in an eight-episode series next fall. This series will follow students from the Flandreau Indian School as they embark on an ambitious project to reinvent a 1976 Ford F-350 into a trades toolbox. The company emphasizes the importance of providing students with the necessary tools and experiences to thrive in their future careers.

"From providing the equipment and mentors to putting their builds on TV, we're doubling down on the next generation of tradespeople. We want these students to have the tools, the experience and now the spotlight to build what's next," Crowson noted.
