EZVIZ Expands Its Green Initiative with New Campaign

EZVIZ, a global leader in smart home technology, has taken a significant step forward in its commitment to sustainability by enhancing its Green Initiative. This initiative is underscored by a week-long environmental awareness campaign coinciding with World Environment Day and World Oceans Day. The campaign aims to foster a deeper connection between human beings and nature through the theme "Protect, Preserve, Coexist."

The primary objective of EZVIZ’s Green Initiative is to promote ecological vitality that benefits both human life and other living beings. Joanne Cao, the Secretary of the Board at EZVIZ and the Director of the ESG Committee, explains, “In this new phase, the focus of EZVIZ Green is on ecological vitality—benefitting both humans and other living beings.” This remark emphasizes the brand’s drive to unite local communities and partnerships while addressing environmental issues through collaborative efforts.

The initiative highlights two key partnerships with Treedom, a platform dedicated to tree planting, and Plastic Bank, an organization leading the charge in ocean conservation. Through these collaborations, EZVIZ seeks to engage communities in impactful environmental actions that reflect a commitment to ecological restoration and sustainability.

By calling for climate resilience and ocean protection, the campaign responds to global environmental challenges while promoting a vision of a sustainable coexistence between humanity and nature. EZVIZ aligns its mission with the United Nations’ appeal to restore the relationship between humans and our planet, thereby contributing to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

EZVIZ, acting as a participant in the UN Global Compact, has already shown measurable successes through its partnerships. For instance, efforts in collaboration with Treedom aim to assist local farmers in planting trees across 11 countries. Projections indicate that the global forest growth can mitigate over 738,200 tons of CO2 emissions over the next decade. By 2027, the global forest cover is expected to surpass 6,000 trees, enhancing food security while fostering economic development.

The new collaborative efforts will expand to additional regions in Southeast Asia, South America, and Africa, particularly focusing on ecologically critical areas like Ecuador, to combat climate change effectively.

In its mission to tackle plastic pollution, EZVIZ has mobilized collectors globally through Plastic Bank, helping them collect recyclable bottles and achieve additional income. To date, the initiative has successfully recycled over a million bottles, preventing 20,000 kilograms of plastic from contaminating water sources and providing social benefits to collectors in 29 communities.

This year, the focus will be particularly on Southeast Asia, home to one of the world’s longest coastal archipelagos, where EZVIZ aims to implement a more rigorous and systematic plastic recycling operation, thus enhancing marine biodiversity and economic stability.

In addition to external partnerships, EZVIZ strengthens its internal practices to maximize impact. Committing to green innovation, the company has launched a new line of 4G battery-operated cameras that reduce energy consumption while ensuring safety in operation. This innovative technology aims to enhance wildlife detection and provide improved protection for both users and wildlife in remote areas.

Through the EZVIZ Green Initiative, the company underscores its commitment to a sustainable future where nature and humanity thrive together. This initiative is not just about environmental protection; it’s about creating a balanced ecosystem supportive of healthier living, underlining the interconnectedness of all life forms on this planet.

As Cao put it, “Like humans, all creatures are stakeholders of this planet.
