About Satoshi Kon
Born in Hokkaido in 1963, Satoshi Kon graduated from Musashino Art University with a focus on visual communication design. After making his mark as a manga artist, he transitioned to animation and debuted as a director with 'Perfect Blue' in 1998. His works, including 'Millennium Actress' (2002) and 'Paprika' (2006), continue to receive worldwide acclaim and are celebrated for their innovative storytelling and visual artistry. Sadly, he passed away from pancreatic cancer in 2010 at the young age of 46, leaving behind a rich legacy that continues to inspire.
