On June 5th, Smilegate Megaport announced the introduction of new heroes, Lianna and Luciola, in their mobile RPG, Epic Seven, developed by SUPER CREATIVE. This marks an exciting milestone as they are the first twin heroes to join the game, offering players the unique ability to switch between the two during battles.

Lianna and Luciola were previously featured as part of the game’s ancient artifacts during its initial launch, quickly gaining popularity among players due to their stunning illustrations. In this latest update, they have officially been added as playable heroes, much to the delight of the community.

In the narrative context of EPISODE 6, titled “The Lament of the End,” these characters appear as agents of the secret society known as the “Black Chalice,” positioning them in opposition to the main protagonist, Ras, and his allies. The twins are depicted as characters lacking emotional understanding due to their dark upbringing, resulting in a cruel demeanor stemming from a deficiency of affection.

Characterized as ★5 assassins with a dark attribute, Lianna and Luciola introduce a strategic gameplay element, allowing players to swap between them during combat. Each hero possesses distinct skills, tailored to adapt to various battlefield scenarios. Players can inflict debuffs on enemies or bolster their own strengths, ensuring that the characters are versatile and responsive.

The second skill is particularly noteworthy; it allows the characters to swap places each time it’s used, generating an additional turn for strategic maneuvers. Moreover, if players meet specific conditions, the hero that comes into play after the swap can unleash their first skill immediately, maximizing damage potential and tactical advantage.

Their third skill, “Death’s Pursuit,” showcases Lianna and Luciola collaborating to unleash substantial damage on all enemies while also stripping them of their buffs and applying debuffs such as “Fear.” This skill not only enhances their offensive capabilities but also significantly boosts Lianna’s accuracy and Luciola’s critical damage, thanks to a unique effect called “Dream Butterfly” that accompanies their skills.
