Nana's Green Tea Launches Tropical Summer Treats with Mango & Chai on July 8

Introduction to Mango & Chai Series

Starting on July 8, 2025, Nana's Green Tea, known for its exquisite matcha and Japanese tea, will unveil its limited-edition summer offerings, the 'Mango & Chai' series. This delightful range is designed to transport your taste buds to a tropical paradise, featuring an array of vibrant and refreshing desserts and drinks that highlight the aromatic flavors of organic tea cultivated in Yakushima, a UNESCO World Heritage site.

What's New?

The Mango & Chai series offers three enticing products, each expertly crafted to combine the natural sweetness and spice flavors of summer.

1. Mango & Passion Fruit Parfait

This parfait dazzles with its rich mango sweetness complemented by the tart brightness of passion fruit. Topped with coconut ice cream and an original chai jelly, this dessert is both refreshing and enticing, ensuring each bite remains light and delicious without being overly sweet. The chai jelly contains a blend of aromatic spices such as cinnamon and clove, providing a fragrant twist that enhances the tropical experience.

2. Mango Chai Coconut Float

The Mango Chai Coconut Float features a unique combination of an organic tea-based chai milk infused with spices, topped with luscious mango sauce and creamy coconut ice cream. Adding an extra layer of texture are chewy mochi balls, making this float a delightful treat. The light, fragrant notes of cinnamon and clove make it a perfect sip for hot summer days.

3. Mango Spice Soda

Offering a refreshing twist on iced tea beverages, the Mango Spice Soda combines Yakushima's organic tea with a hint of cinnamon and clove to create a fizzy experience reminiscent of craft cola. The addition of juicy mango sauce brings a gentle sweetness amidst the invigorating effervescence, presenting a revitalizing option for the hot season.

The Inspiration Behind the Creation

Nana's Green Tea aims to introduce high-quality domestic tea to a broader audience. The organically grown tea from Yakushima is now offered across all stores since April 2023. Despite the increasing awareness of Japanese teas, many remain unfamiliar with the taste of domestic varieties. In response, the brand launched 'TEA & LEMON' as a refreshing treat in early summer 2025, which received a warm reception. Following this success, they developed the Mango & Chai series as a delightful summer addition.

Experience Yakushima's Organic Tea

Yakushima's climate, characterized by high humidity and warm temperatures, is ideal for quality tea cultivation. Featuring invigorating, light flavors, this organic tea is renowned for its delightful sweetness and aromatic qualities, providing a smooth mouthfeel and refreshing aftertaste.

Meet the Producer: Masahiro Fujiwara

Masahiro Fujiwara, the second generation of his family to farm tea in Yakushima, shared his philosophy: "We let nature take its course, minimizing interference." His father began tea cultivation on the island, recognizing early cultivation practices as beneficial, especially during typhoon seasons. They initiated organic farming about 30 years ago, adapting natural methods suitable for Yakushima's ecosystem.

In tea production, Fujiwara believes that nature should dictate practices, from irrigation to harvest timing, ensuring optimal quality. This dedication to minimal intervention allows the tea's innate flavors to shine.
