Charvel Launches Angel Vivaldi Signature Pro-Mod Nova-7 NAT
Charvel, the renowned musical instrument manufacturer, has announced the release of the latest addition to their signature series, the
Angel Vivaldi Signature Pro-Mod Nova-7 NAT. This highly anticipated release is scheduled for August 6, 2025, in Japan and is designed in close collaboration with the exceptional guitarist Angel Vivaldi, who hails from New Jersey. The model embodies powerful features that match Vivaldi's remarkable stage presence, integrating modern functionalities with an elegant natural finish and golden hardware.
Angel Vivaldi is well-known for blending captivating guitar anthems with intricate yet gooey songwriting. Taking up the guitar at the young age of fifteen, he has spent nearly two decades honing his skills and has become one of the most creative modern guitarists in the realm of instrumental progressive rock. His meticulously crafted discography continues to inspire fans across the globe.
Continuing its tradition of manufacturing high-performance instruments for top-tier musicians, Charvel first teamed up with Angel Vivaldi in 2019 to produce the initial signature model, the Charvel Nova. Since then, Charvel has launched both six-string and seven-string models. The
Angel Vivaldi Signature Pro-Mod Nova-7 NAT not only draws inspiration from Vivaldi's explorations in Latin fusion, funk, and acoustic music but also delivers versatility for players seeking uncompromising modern guitar sounds.
In discussing the new signature model, Vivaldi expressed, "This Nova has been developed over an eight-year period, featuring significant upgrades that elevate my level as a guitarist. The natural finish truly reminds me that this is not just equipment, but a 'living' entity within my creative process. It's freedom in its purest form, without resistance or limitations."
The guitar features a modified
Dinky® body made of charred basswood with a flame maple top and 3-ply body binding. A sculpted heel allows for comfortable access to higher positions, while the tilt-back design includes a reverse headstock licensed from Fender® Stratocaster®, providing ideal string tension. The 12”-16” compound radius maple fingerboard has a snug rolled edge, with 24 jumbo frets, cascading black dot inlays, and Gotoh® locking nut for stability.
Moreover, the bolt-on maple neck accommodates a custom neck shape designed to Angel's preferences, incorporating a graphite reinforcement rod, silky satin back finish, Luminlay® side dots, and a heel-mounted truss rod adjustment wheel.
The guitar's HH pickup configuration comprises a DiMarzio® Tone Zone® bridge pickup with a gold cover and a DiMarzio Air Norton™ neck pickup, offering rich, full-bodied tones and resonance. Additionally, modern premium features include a five-way blade pickup switch, dome-style volume and tone knobs, a Gotoh® GE1996T-7 double-locking tremolo bridge, and die-cast tuners branded with the Charvel logo.
Commenting on this collaboration, Charvel's product manager, Peter Witchers, stated, "Through this collaboration, we were able to merge Angel's unique playing style with Charvel's legendary craftsmanship, creating an instrument that suits both traditional and modern progressive players. Angel embodies the superior quality and innovative approach that Charvel has established over the years. His diverse musicality, technical precision, and forward-looking vision are perfectly aligned with our commitment to pushing the boundaries of instrument crafting."
