GomSpace A/S Publishes Strong Q2 Financial Results and 2026 Outlook
GomSpace A/S Reports Robust Q2 Financial Performance
GomSpace A/S has announced impressive financial results for the second quarter of 2026, showcasing a remarkable 30% growth in revenue compared to the previous year. The company achieved 11% EBITDA, transitioning to a positive EBIT, and significantly enhancing its balance sheet with an equity ratio soaring to 41%.
In Q2, GomSpace's order intake saw a decrease of 45%, landing at 140,625 T.SEK. However, the revenue recorded an increase of 17%, rising to 112,622 T.SEK, up from 95,900 T.SEK in the same quarter last year. Beyond revenue growth, EBITDA more than doubled to 14,290 T.SEK, reflecting a solid operational execution.
The company recorded an operating profit (EBIT) of 5,380 T.SEK, a sharp rise from a loss of 682 T.SEK in the previous year. It is noteworthy that the earnings per share also showed a positive turnaround, reaching 0.05 SEK, compared to a loss of 0.21 SEK last year. However, free cash flow remained negative at -42,877 T.SEK, slightly improved from -45,112 T.SEK from Q2 of 2025.
In the first half of 2026, GomSpace delivered a solid performance, with total revenue increasing by 30%, reaching 239,370 T.SEK compared to 184,703 T.SEK in the corresponding period of last year. The EBITDA for the first half improved to 25,512 T.SEK with an increase of 62%. The EBIT also showed strong improvement, reaching 7,885 T.SEK compared to 113 T.SEK from last year. Meanwhile, the negative free cash flow for the first half of this year was recorded at -102,616 T.SEK.
Despite the challenges in order intake—down 18% to 257,611 T.SEK—the company is optimistic about the backlog of orders, which supports anticipated activities for the rest of the year. The management also continues to hold firm on its full-year guidance for 2026, estimating revenue between 540-640 M.SEK, with an EBITDA margin projected between 5%-12%.
CEO Carsten Drachmann emphasized that the company is on a promising path towards building sustainable growth and long-term value for its investors, especially as GomSpace focuses on national and defense solutions. The increasing demand for sovereign control, resilient communications, and persistent intelligence among government entities presents a thrilling opportunity for GomSpace, which has led to the expansion of its Solutions business. This component is viewed as a potential growth engine for the company, although sales cycles in this segment may be longer.
GomSpace's confidence is further buoyed by its strategic initiatives in product development and operational capabilities, although it acknowledges the risks associated with project delivery, customer payments, and margin fluctuations. The firm is steadfast in its approach of investing purposefully while confirming its guidance for continued profitability.
The Q2 financial results will be discussed in detail during a webinar presentation hosted by HC Andersen Capital on August 26, 2026.
