Japan Digital Design Expands AI Internal Procedure Navigator User Base

Japan Digital Design Co., Ltd. (CEO: Renpei Iwata, hereafter referred to as JDD) has announced an expansion of its AI-based internal procedure search assistance system, previously known as the Procedure Search Support System, set to officially launch across all domestic branches of Mitsubishi UFJ Bank (President and Executive Officer: Junichi Hanzawa, hereafter referred to as MUFG Bank) from March 10, 2026. This expansion aims to significantly increase the user base from approximately 7,000 to around 20,000 employees, enhancing the efficiency of internal procedure searches and confirmations across a broader network.

Background of the Initiative

Internal procedures within organizations are often extensive and complex, requiring personnel to have quick access to necessary information. To alleviate these challenges, JDD launched a trial of its AI-driven interactive search experience with the AI Internal Procedure Navigator in July 2025. The feedback gathered during this trial period has been instrumental in maintaining accuracy, stability, and ease of use, a testament to which is this large-scale deployment.

Overview of the AI Internal Procedure Navigator

The AI Internal Procedure Navigator acts as a chat-based system where the AI generates answers while simultaneously displaying relevant procedural documents. This tool is specially designed for internal procedure search support, allowing users to access accurate procedural information significantly faster. It combines traditional search methods and quick access to supporting documents, streamlining the day-to-day tasks of employees.

Expansion of User Base

Effective March 10, 2026, JDD will broaden access to the AI Internal Procedure Navigator primarily for domestic branches. Previously limited to around 7,000 users, this new development allows an estimated 20,000 employees to utilize the system, representing a seismic shift in its reach and impact.

Expanded Procedures Available

In addition to expanding the user base, the procedures available for reference will also encompass various tasks and operations handled within domestic branches. This means that a larger variety of procedural searches will be supported, offering a more comprehensive approach to navigating intricate and dispersed procedures. Users will have the convenience of asking questions as if consulting a nearby colleague, further contributing to operational efficiency in domestic branch activities.

Future Prospects

Looking ahead, JDD plans to continue expanding its user base, with the aim of making the AI Internal Procedure Navigator available to all employees within the fiscal year 2026. The company will also continuously incorporate user feedback to ensure sustained accuracy, robust performance, and improved user interface and experience enhancements. In addition to strengthening existing functionalities, JDD endeavors to explore the utilization of AI agents in daily work and broaden its applications to facilitate a smooth workflow by connecting with customer information and external systems.
