Pathways LA Raises Over $100,000 at Historic Seeds of Hope Gala Celebrating 48 Years of Community Impact

Pathways LA Achieves Record Success at the Seeds of Hope Gala

On May 16, 2026, Pathways LA hosted its renowned annual fundraising event, the Seeds of Hope Gala, welcoming over 155 collaborators, partners, and community leaders. This year's event marked a significant milestone, raising more than $100,000 to support children and families across Los Angeles County. The gala was celebrated as the most successful fundraiser in the history of the organization.

The Seeds of Hope Gala serves as a pivotal fundraising event for Pathways LA, where the generated funds directly support Family Engagement Services that connect families with essential resources, educational opportunities, and support systems aimed at strengthening lives and communities. The event drew a diverse crowd, including staff members, board members, donors, elected officials, child care providers, corporate partners, and long-time advocates of Pathways LA's mission.

Pathways LA extends immense gratitude to its primary sponsors, Capital Group and CareConnect, and acknowledges L.A. Care Health Plan as a supportive sponsor. Additional gratitude goes to its Friends of Pathways LA sponsors, including Child Care Resource Center, Connections for Children, Drew Child Development Corporation, Farmers & Merchants Bank, Options for Learning, IMA Financial Group, Walmart Neighborhood Market, Insperity, Wells Fargo, The Nancy Painter Foundation, and First 5 LA. Their unwavering partnership and commitment were instrumental in making the evening both possible and impactful, thereby continuing to enhance the collective work of Pathways LA throughout Los Angeles.

Adding to the evening's richness, Councilwoman Heather Hutt provided inspiring remarks underscoring the importance of investing in families and early childhood education as well as community support services. The gala also paid tribute to three extraordinary partners for their commitment to children and families: PBS SoCal, The Nancy Painter Foundation, and a distinguished child care provider whose dedicated efforts have positively impacted countless families in the community.

The event featured Wendy Burch, a KTLA presenter, as the emcee, bringing warmth, humor, and energy to the celebration. Additionally, Holly J. Mitchell, the Los Angeles County Supervisor, shared a special video message welcoming attendees and motivating the continued investment in children and families.

Throughout the evening's speeches, Pathways LA reflected on its rich history and mission: “Tonight we gather to celebrate 48 years of service to our community. Pathways LA embodies the vision of our founder, Bea Gold, who believed that every child deserves access to quality child care. This vision continues to guide our daily efforts.”

In a time of escalating challenges within family assistance systems, the Seeds of Hope Gala served as both a celebration and a reminder of what can be achieved when a community unites around a shared purpose. Pathways LA expresses heartfelt thanks to each sponsor, donor, volunteer, attendee, committee member, and collaborator who contributed to the meaningful success of the evening.

Pathways LA invites the community to continue supporting its mission, ensuring every child, family, and early care provider has access to the resources, opportunities, and support they need to thrive.
