Japan is set to host an extraordinary retrospective of the renowned artist Hajime Sorayama, titled 'SORAYAMA: Light, Transparency, Reflection -TOKYO-'. This grand event will be held at the CREATIVE MUSEUM TOKYO from March 14, 2026, to May 31, 2026. As part of the exhibition's opening festivities, attendees will receive a limited edition sticker commemorating the 25th anniversary of Aerosmith's album 'Just Push Play'.

A Unique Collaboration

Sorayama gained international acclaim with his unique visualization, notably the cover art of Aerosmith's 'Just Push Play.' Since its release in 2001, the album has been celebrated for its striking artwork and has become a symbol where music and visual art interplay seamlessly.

Interestingly, the final design on the album cover was not as originally intended by Sorayama. Due to an unreversed image presented during an early meeting by the album's art director, the artwork was inadvertently flipped before publication. Sorayama did request adjustments later on, but the image remained reversed, highlighting an unexpected twist in the creation of a globally recognized visual.

Limited Edition Sticker

As a treat for visitors, the exhibition will hand out special stickers featuring the original illustration from 'Just Push Play'. The design encapsulates Sorayama's artistic themes of light, transparency, and reflection, spilling out with a metallic vibrancy that resonates with his long-held mastery over these principles.
