FANCL's New Refreshing Beverage: Kale and Mandarin Juice
As summer approaches, FANCL is excited to announce the launch of its newest menu item,
Kale and Mandarin Juice, available at two of its restaurants located in the Ginza Square from June 6, 2025. This innovative beverage combines premium mandarin juice sourced from Ehime Prefecture with FANCL's fresh kale juice, creating a drink that not only tastes great but also promotes health.
Product Features
The
Kale and Mandarin Juice was developed with a commitment to quality ingredients, embodying the concept of being “delicious to drink and gentle on the body.” The kale juice utilized in this beverage is made from freshly pressed kale sourced from FANCL's partner farms in Ehime. Through a unique manufacturing process, the bitterness of kale is minimized, retaining its natural sweetness and umami flavor. This frozen kale juice maintains its nutritional value while successfully balancing deliciousness with health benefits.
To complement the kale juice, the mandarin juice is offered in three distinct varieties, each made from 100% pure mandarin juice from Ehime Prefecture. Customers can choose based on their taste preferences:
- - Uwajima Mandarin: Offers a gentle sweetness balanced with elegant acidity.
- - Shiranui: Known for its rich flavor, it's characterized by the prominent taste of oranges and deep sweetness.
- - Kawachi Bankan: Provides a refreshing acidity reminiscent of grapefruit.
Note: Some kale used in FANCL’s fresh kale juice is sourced from Kagoshima Prefecture.

Collaboration Background
This initiative marks a collaboration with contracted farmers and processing facilities in Ehime, aimed at addressing challenges related to agricultural support and regional revitalization within the prefecture. The kale used in FANCL's juice is cultivated using mineral farming methods that enhance both its nutritional value and taste.
The manufacturing process of kale juice takes place in a factory in Ehime, where strict quality control ensures every step, from low-temperature transport, washing, juicing, drying, to granulation, maintains high standards.
By incorporating locally grown mandarins, the
Kale and Mandarin Juice supports mandarin cultivation while promoting sustainability and regional development. This initiative is not just about launching a new product; it represents a significant step towards showcasing the rich agricultural bounty of Ehime as a model for rural revitalization.
Character Introduction
The
Mikyan character, a local mascot from Ehime, has played a significant role in this collaborative project. This new design commemorates the 25th anniversary of FANCL's kale juice production and aims to raise awareness about the nutritional benefits of kale cultivated in the natural surroundings of Ehime. Moving forward, FANCL plans to utilize this character in events to promote its kale juice further.
