Capitol Celebration in Missouri
In just two weeks, the Missouri Capitol will become a hub of excitement as students, educators, and families gather to celebrate school choice. On January 28, Governor Mike Kehoe, accompanied by Treasurer Vivek Malek, will join hundreds of students, parents, and teachers in Jefferson City. Their collective aim is to spotlight the impact of school choice on Missouri families.
This significant event coincides with
National School Choice Week, a movement that advocates for diverse educational options. The festivities will take place from
11:45 AM to 1:00 PM in the stunning Rotunda of the Missouri Capitol located at
201 West Capitol Ave, Jefferson City, MO 65101. The theme for this year’s celebration is
“Freedom to Thrive,” emphasizing the essence of educational flexibility in nurturing student success.
The event has been organized by the
Children's Education Alliance of Missouri (CEAM) in partnership with the
National School Choice Awareness Foundation. It will not only feature informed speeches from legislators, school leaders, and students, but also captivating performances from talented students around the state, making it an exciting experience for attendees.
Peter Frazen, Associate Executive Director of CEAM, expressed his pride in collaborating with the National School Choice Awareness Foundation to host this celebration in the Capitol rotunda. He noted, “Schools, students, teachers, legislators, and business leaders are invited and expected at this year’s Celebration at the Capitol for NSCW.” Families are strongly encouraged to attend to share their personal stories with their elected representatives.

January 25 to 31, is set to include a staggering
28,000 events nationwide.
