Finishing close behind, a gold bar originating from the Felix Grundy Hoard, which hails from Amador County, California, fetched $67,650. This piece, measuring 2 inches by 1 inch and labeled with the hoard's authentic stamp, is part of a rare collection discovered in the 1960s. The other notable gold item, bearing the mark of the Star Mining Company, also captured interest with a final sale price of $44,280.
