Pocari Sweat Unveils Exciting Summer 2026 Campaign
Starting May 22, 2026, Otsuka Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. will launch a fresh television advertisement for its iconic health beverage, Pocari Sweat. Titled
'POCARI HUMAN CHALLENGE', the campaign showcases the inherent potential of individuals by featuring vibrant scenes of communities coming together to work up a sweat.
The creation of this advertisement saw the gathering of around
1,000 participants hailing from
20 different countries. Ranging in age from
13 to 60, these individuals convened across two days (April 11-12) to partake in this unique challenge set against the stunning backdrop of the vast
Okinawan Sea. During the filming, participants created artistic formations representing droplets of sweat and even choreographed movements that mimicked fireworks, all while dancing to the lively beats of the song
'SING SING SING'. The culmination of these efforts resulted in a spectacular visual where everyone joined to depict a
‘big planet’.
The filming process was monumental, requiring meticulous coordination among not only the participants but also choreographers, staff, lifeguards, and the filming crew. Teams were formed according to various scenes, working tirelessly on choreography both on land and in the water. On the day of the shoot, participants joined hands and made their way into the ocean together, synchronized in their movements as they encouraged one another and thrived off each other’s energy. The atmosphere was electric, filled with cheers and applause whenever a particular cue was called.
Many participants shared their excitement and satisfaction after being involved, expressing their thoughts like, _“This has been a challenge like no other and the sense of accomplishment is tremendous.”_ Others mentioned, _“Joining hands with someone I had just met created an incredible sense of unity. It felt as if we all belonged together.”_ This remarkable event highlighted the powerful energy that emerges when people collaborate.
In addition, international participants remarked on the unique experience, with comments such as, _“I was amazed by how many people came together. It truly felt like a ‘small world’ here.”_ Another participant shared feelings of interconnectedness among people and nature alike, stating, _“Everything is connected.”_
