Experience the International Ceramics Exhibition at Wako Ginza
From February 19 to March 1, 2026, Wako in Ginza will present an exquisite exhibition titled "The Elegance of Art: The Internationality of Ceramics" at the Seiko House Hall. This event will bring together the talents of four distinguished ceramic artists who are making a name for themselves both in Japan and internationally. The showcasing artists are Peter Hamann, Agnes Husz, Che Zehun, and Ha Myungwoo, each known for their unique styles and perspectives in the realm of ceramics.
Meet the Artists
Peter Hamann
Peter Hamann, a porcelain artist and tea master from Tanba Shiasano City, is known for his traditional yet innovative creations. His featured works include:
- - Kakewaki Gokushi (27.3 × 27.3 × h29.7 cm)
- - Sculptural White Porcelain Vase (29 × 29 × h31.5 cm)
Hamann’s journey spans several decades, including his education at Graceland University and the Takumi Art Museum, leading to numerous accolades, such as being a finalist for the 2022 Mitsui Golden Art Award.
Agnes Husz
Hailing from Hungary, Agnes Husz captures the audience with her imaginative techniques. Some of her remarkable pieces include:

Che Zehun
A professor at Aichi Prefectural University of Fine Arts and Music, Che Zehun merges design with artistry. Among his contributions are:

His work has earned him several prestigious awards, including the Grand Prize at the International Ceramics Exhibition Mino and recognition at the Kyonggi World Ceramic Biennale.
Ha Myungwoo
As a contemporary artist, Ha Myungwoo branches into whimsical ceramic forms. His notable creations feature:

Gallery Talk and Special Events
In conjunction with the exhibition, a gallery talk is planned on February 21, featuring curatorial input from Kazuko Sotodate and discussions with the four artists starting at 2:00 PM. It's an excellent opportunity for attendees to engage with the artists and learn about their creative processes.
