Verosoft and PASI Revolutionize Energy Sector with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Integration

Verosoft and PASI Transform Energy Sector with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central

In a groundbreaking development for the energy and mining industries, Verosoft, a leading provider of Enterprise Asset Management solutions, has partnered with PASI to expand the capabilities of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central through the integration of TAG Mobi EAM. This collaboration aims to provide comprehensive solutions for asset-intensive environments that have traditionally relied on large-scale ERP and EAM platforms.

Overview of the Partnership

On April 28, 2026, Verosoft announced that PASI successfully secured Semirara Mining and Power Corporation (SMPC) as a customer. The initial deployment began with approximately 50 users, focusing on establishing asset structures and maintenance processes. Since then, the user base has expanded to over 2,000 users utilizing TAG Mobi and Business Central, showcasing the effectiveness of a repeatable deployment model that PASI has created for targeting the energy, mining, and other industrial sectors.

Rene Santos, President and CEO of PASI, emphasized the significance of this development, stating, "Business Central offered us a solid ERP foundation, but the addition of TAG Mobi EAM allowed us to leverage opportunities that were previously out of reach. This altered the scope and nature of the customers we can realistically support, transitioning from mid-market projects to enterprise-class implementations."

Importance for Microsoft Partners

This project highlights how Microsoft partners can enhance Business Central with industry-specific solutions to meet the asset-intensive demands of sectors like energy and mining. Historically, these industries have been characterized by large ERP and EAM platforms, making the inclusion of TAG Mobi EAM crucial for addressing maintenance requirements on an enterprise level within the Microsoft ecosystem.

By extending Business Central beyond mid-sized ERP scenarios, PASI demonstrated the potential for scaling systems to meet the needs of complex industrial operations.

Customer Context: Semirara Mining and Power Corporation

The Semirara Mining and Power Corporation is a vertically integrated energy and mining company operating open-pit coal mines and coal-fired power plants. With diverse business sectors including mining, power generation, shipping, and infrastructure, SMPC required a scalable ERP-EAM solution capable of managing maintenance activities and asset management across geographically dispersed and operationally complex environments, all while maintaining a unified Microsoft-based core system.

The Challenge: Modernizing Maintenance Operations

To support future expansion, SMPC sought to modernize its maintenance operations. Legacy systems posed significant challenges, as they required extensive customization and offered limited support for asset hierarchy, hindering the standardization of preventive maintenance across mining fleets, power plants, and shipping assets. Additionally, the management aimed to shift from paper-based processes to a cloud-oriented, standardized platform that could scale from initial implementation to wide-scale adoption, ensuring control, traceability, and performance.

Santos noted, "From the beginning, it was clear that SMPC needed a comprehensive enterprise asset management platform, not just a lightweight CMMS."

The Solution Delivered: Business Central Enhanced with TAG Mobi EAM

PASI provided a Microsoft-based solution that merges Business Central with TAG Mobi EAM. The deployment catered to both mining sites and power plants, incorporating modules to support workflow safety management, advanced resource management, fleet maintenance, and complex asset hierarchies, all while retaining ERP core data, financial data, and master data within Business Central. The implementation commenced in December 2025, facilitated by onsite collaboration between PASI and Verosoft specialists.

Results Achieved

The deployment successfully supported SMPC's maintenance and asset management objectives across all operational areas, including:
  • - Improved preventive maintenance for mining, power generation, power distribution, and shipping domains.
  • - Increased transparency regarding lifecycle costs of assets from acquisition through maintenance to decommissioning.
  • - Swift transition from pilot project to full-scale implementation across all extraction sites and power plants within just five months.
  • - Completion of a second phase of implementation within one month, thanks to the concerted efforts of PASI and Verosoft.
  • - Expanded functional coverage for fleets and vessels.

Santos concluded, "Our role is to act as advisors. We start by understanding the operational reality of the client and then assemble the right solution around Business Central. TAG Mobi EAM enabled us to provide enterprise asset management without excessive customization, while remaining aligned with Microsoft."

This project represents a significant milestone within the Business Central ecosystem, particularly in the energy and mining sectors, marking a shift towards scalable and efficient asset management solutions.
