Launching Collaborative Partnerships for Robot Implementation
Jolly Good Inc., a pioneering company in the field of VR technology and healthcare solutions, has officially kicked off its search for demonstration partners for its advanced AI solution,
'JG Robot Ready'. This initiative aims to facilitate robot implementation in critical sectors such as logistics, manufacturing, and healthcare. The project is particularly geared towards applying for large-scale verification projects in collaboration with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and the New Energy and Industrial Technology Development Organization (NEDO).
Background and Current Challenges
The government has invested hundreds of billions of yen annually to support the integration of robotics in various fields to combat labor shortages. However, the on-ground reality reveals a different story, where
87% of robot implementation projects fail to achieve their promised results. Factors, such as unsuitable environmental conditions and inadequate safety training, lead to operational downtimes, especially within a year of deployment, creating a pressing need for effective solutions.
Key Issues Identified:
1.
Environmental Incompatibility: Many companies encounter substantial hurdles related to unprepared environments for robotic operations.
2.
High Initial Survey Costs: The cost of initial surveys and safety training deters many small and medium-sized enterprises from pursuing automation, especially those in rural areas, where surveys can demand investments of hundreds of thousands of yen.
3.
Absence of Standard Success Models: Companies engaging in individual attempts at robot implementation often end up repeating the same mistakes, lacking a standardized model for successful integration, which further limits the effectiveness of government investments.
Project Aims: Building a 'Standard Model' with JG Robot Ready
The objective of the JG Robot Ready project is to construct a universally applicable model for robot implementation. By employing
360-degree AI spatial analysis and
high-precision virtual reality (VR), Jolly Good seeks to supply comprehensive environmental diagnostics and safety training for staff. This approach does not just aim at facilitating robotic integration for one organization but seeks to create a blueprint for success that can be adapted across various industrial domains.
Through the project, Jolly Good demonstrates that incorporating AI-driven diagnostics and VR training ensures a seamless and safe adoption of robotics across different environments.
Partnering Opportunities and Benefits
Jolly Good invites both
robot manufacturers and
demonstration field operators from logistics, manufacturing, and medical sectors to join this initiative. By leveraging the benefits of the AI and VR technologies integrated in JG Robot Ready, partners can realize better acceptance rates for their robotic solutions while minimizing risks associated with large-scale deployments.
Partnering Category A: Robot Manufacturers and System Integrators
Benefits: Improve the success rate of introducing your robots by overcoming environmental compatibility and safety concerns through JG's systems. Additionally, organizations can utilize government budget allocations to develop significant use cases without incurring risks.
Partnering Category B: Demonstration Fields (Logistics firms, developers, manufacturing plants, and healthcare facilities)
Benefits: For businesses aiming for guaranteed robot implementation success, utilizing government support can allow for the introduction and testing of the latest robotic technologies while minimizing financial burdens.
