Marriott International's Luxury Group Shines at 2026 Forbes Travel Guide Star Awards

Marriott International has made a striking impression at the Forbes Travel Guide 2026 Star Awards, celebrating a momentous achievement with its Luxury Group, which boasts a peerless selection of high-end hotel brands. This esteemed group includes The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, Bvlgari Hotels & Resorts, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, EDITION, The Luxury Collection, JW Marriott, and W Hotels. This year, the Luxury Group proudly gathers 397 recognitions in total across its hotels, yachts, spas, and restaurants, which is a reflection of its unwavering commitment to service excellence.

2026 marks a landmark year for The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, with the Ilma, its latest vessel, achieving the honor of being the world’s first and only Five-Star cruise ship. The Ritz-Carlton Reserve brand has also made significant strides, with Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve located in Saudi Arabia’s eco-friendly Red Sea project, receiving its inaugural Five-Star recognition. These accolades underscore the Luxury Group’s strength, showcasing its expansive footprint across destinations in the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and the Asia Pacific, while the group continually redefines luxury travel through curated experiences.

New to the 2026 awards are several first-time Five-Star recognitions within the Luxury Group. Newly awarded properties include the Bvlgari Hotel Tokyo, Grosvenor House (a Luxury Collection Hotel) in Dubai, The Ritz-Carlton in Nikko, and The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes. Notably, The St. Regis in Macao and Atlanta also secured new Five-Star accolades. Culinary and wellness experiences have not gone unnoticed; for instance, Atlanta’s St. Regis and its restaurant, Atlas, have gained double Five-Star recognition.

Furthermore, the prestigious Thermal Spring Spa at HOTEL THE MITSUI Kyoto has joined an esteemed list of spas that enjoy accolades for their exceptional services. From The Spa at The West Hollywood EDITION to The St. Regis Chicago Spa, the portfolio's evolution reflects Marriott’s commitment to passion-based travel that resonates with guests’ interests.

“Receiving recognition from Forbes Travel Guide is an extraordinary honor that we cherish deeply,” remarked Tina Edmundson, President of Luxury at Marriott International. “The Five-Star and Four-Star distinctions have established themselves as highly credible markers in luxury travel, making this particular acknowledgment incredibly meaningful. Our brands coalesce around a shared commitment to thoughtful and intuitive service, allowing luxury to manifest through unique moments that shape every stay.”

Amanda Frasier, President of Ratings at Forbes Travel Guide, highlighted the Luxury Group's performance, stating, “Marriott has garnered 11 new Five-Star awards in 2026, not just by coincidence, but as a result of a focused strategy to deliver authentic experiences with a consistent service identity across the portfolio.”
