Karmak Unveils New Integration with DTNA to Optimize Parts Ordering Process
Karmak, a prominent name in business management solutions within the heavy-duty trucking industry, has announced a significant integration between its Fusion business system and Daimler Truck North America's (DTNA) Paragon Parts Purchase Order Export (PPOE) system. This innovative integration aims to streamline parts ordering processes, especially for those required in critical vehicle repairs, ultimately enhancing operational efficiency for DTNA dealers.
Streamlined Parts Ordering for Enhanced Efficiency
With the new integration, DTNA dealers can now benefit from reduced manual data entry while expediting high-priority parts orders. This integration is crucial for minimizing vehicle downtime, allowing dealers to meet urgent repair needs swiftly. Once a purchase order is finalized, it can be seamlessly exported from Fusion to the Paragon PPOE platform, enabling dealers to prioritize parts needed for vehicles that are currently inoperable.
Key Features of the Fusion-Paragon Integration
1.
Seamless Order Transmission: Dealers now have the capability to label urgent parts orders with Vehicle Down Indicators (VDI flags). This feature sends orders directly to DTNA as expedited requests, ensuring that essential parts receive immediate attention.
2.
Direct Repair Order Linkage: The integration creates a direct connection between purchase orders that include VDI-flagged parts and the corresponding repair orders. This linkage is associated with the customer's vehicle identification number (VIN), allowing for accurate tracking and management of repairs.
3.
Enhanced Order Management: The Paragon PPOE system automatically links the purchase order to the relevant repair order, populating important details such as customer information, VIN, and meter readings. This function further simplifies the order management process.
4.
Customer Data Synchronization: The system ensures that Paragon Customer Numbers are effectively mapped to Fusion Customer Numbers, maintaining consistency and accuracy throughout the order management lifecycle.
According to Robin Gilmore, Integrations Product Manager at Karmak, this integration fundamentally changes how dealers manage urgent parts orders. “By automating the Vehicle Down ordering process and linking it directly to repair jobs, we're helping dealers improve efficiency, enhance service turnaround, and minimize downtime for their customers,” she stated.
