This fall, Harajuku's Cat Street will transform into a hub of feline creativity and joy during the Cat Walk Festa 2025, running from September 11 to October 31. A Month and a Half of Feline Extravaganza

The Cat Walk Festa 2025 promises a vibrant celebration of all things feline, transforming the neighborhood into a “Cat Halloween World.” The main visual for the event has been crafted by Hidetoshi Omori, an accomplished animator known for his work on titles such as Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack, who recently designed characters for his latest project, SUPER VAN.C.

This unique festival will bring together artists from various genres, including manga, anime, fashion, and music, creating a collaborative space that highlights the dynamic relationships between art and the beloved cats. Here's what to expect:

1. Art Exhibitions: Discover cat-themed art displayed at galleries along Cat Street, featuring works in manga, anime, illustration, AI art, photography, and three-dimensional pieces.

2. Halloween Music Live Events: Join outdoor café-style live performances with participants in costumes, showcasing acoustic, DJ, and improvisational sessions.

3. Cat Costume Fashion Show: Participate in a costume contest focused on cat ears and themed outfits, with families and pet owners warmly welcomed to join the fun.

4. Mystery Adventure Walks: Take part in a Halloween-themed puzzle hunt where participants find hidden cat clues to unveil “Cat Magic.”

5. Night Walks and Light Shows: Experience magical nights on Cat Street with glowing cat signs and AR displays, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

6. Apparel & Merchandise: Shop for tote bags, accessories, and various cat-themed goods inspired by Halloween.

Super Van.C: A New Feline Adventure

One significant highlight of the festival is the introduction of SUPER VAN.C, designed by Hidetoshi Omori. This original concept revolves around five cats on Cat Earth, who use music to solve mysteries and face cosmic challenges during Halloween. The story promises an engaging blend of music, art, and character-driven narratives as the cats collaboration unfolds within the café scene of DrunkLizard.

As part of the festivity's kick-off, participants are encouraged to submit their illustrations, photography, music, video, and performance works centered on their love for cats until September 11. Selected entries will be showcased on large screens in Shibuya!
