In an announcement made on January 13, 2026, OCI Global revealed the completion of a comprehensive system decommissioning campaign. This initiative was propelled by the necessity to securely retain historical business data in light of several recent divestments. The legacy systems, which included multiple SAP ECC and S/4HANA Cloud platforms, presented challenges for data accessibility and ongoing compliance with legal, tax, and audit requirements.

With a clear objective in mind, OCI identified the pressing need to maintain and safeguard access to vital legacy SAP data. Following the transition to SAP S/4HANA Cloud Private Edition in 2021, followed by a move to the Public Edition, OCI realized that crucial historical data remained within previous platforms that needed to be preserved to meet operational needs.

Consultation with SAP Netherlands led to the recommendation of Proceed Cella Cloud as a viable solution.
