Artist Statement

"Seeing colors, seeing light" are words that frequently echoed in my mind during my creative process. I have always placed great importance on the boundaries between presence and absence, and contrasting elements in my work. I believe that everything is an eternal passage. For my first experience using a three-dimensional panel suggested by 3rd Party, I aimed to create the feeling of a space with substantial mass. Utilizing washi paper as a main support, I hope visitors can visually experience its soft connection to light and color.
