CJ Foods Unveils Award-Winning Korean Spirits Brand jari Ahead of U.S. Launch

CJ Foods' premium Korean distilled spirits brand, jari, is making waves in the beverage industry after clinching multiple prestigious awards at major international spirits competitions, a testament to its exceptional craftsmanship and quality. As anticipation builds for its U.S. introduction this fall, jari aims to enrich the culinary landscape with its unique offerings that pair seamlessly with Korean cuisine.

At the recent 2026 International Wine and Spirit Competition (IWSC) and the International Spirits Challenge (ISC), all three products from jari received honors: jari Moonbaesool 24, jari Moonbaesool 41, and jari Gamuchi 24. This recognition places jari among the elite in the spirits world, alongside other esteemed competitions like the San Francisco World Spirits Competition (SFWSC). The accolades reinforce the growing global appreciation for Korean distilled spirits.

Awards and Recognition
During the 2026 IWSC, jari Moonbaesool 24 and jari Moonbaesool 41 were each awarded Silver medals, while jari Gamuchi 24 received a Bronze medal. Notably, jari Moonbaesool 24 and jari Moonbaesool 41 scored an impressive 94 and 91 points, respectively, garnering praise for their delicate fruit aromas, smooth mouthfeel, and balanced flavor profiles.
At the ISC, jari Moonbaesool 24 earned a Gold medal, further solidifying the brand's reputation, while the other two offerings took home Silver medals. These competitions utilize blind tastings involving expert judges who assess qualities such as flavor and craftsmanship, underscoring the brand's commitment to excellence in its products.

A New Era for Korean Spirits
Jari, which translates to a gathering place for people to share food and drinks, reflects CJ Foods' vision of integrating Korean culture into the global spirits market. The brand transforms traditional spirits into refined, aged expressions that connect enjoyers with Korean heritage. Developed in collaboration with esteemed distilleries such as Moonbaesool Brewery and Danong Bio, jari Moonbaesool 24 and jari Gamuchi 24 were launched in Korea in July 2026 and are prepared to make their U.S. debut.

Sungjin Oh, K-Spirits Team Lead at CJ Foods, expressed enthusiasm for the brand's achievements, stating, "We are delighted that jari's quality and craftsmanship have been recognized at globally renowned spirits competitions. Going forward, we will promote the appeal of Korean distilled spirits through collaborations with Korea's outstanding distilleries, enriching the global consumer’s experience of Korean food culture."

The Global Pursuit of Quality
As CJ Foods embarks on this journey to introduce jari to U.S. consumers, the brand sets a high standard for quality and innovation. By crafting spirits that are not only reflective of Korean traditions but also appealing to contemporary tastes, jari aims to establish itself as a staple in both the spirits and culinary sectors.

With a commitment to sustainability and quality, the jari brand is poised to reshape perceptions of Korean distilled spirits and elevate them on the global stage. As CJ Foods' flagship product, jari stands as a symbol of the rich flavors and cultural significance attached to Korean beverages, setting the stage for a broader appreciation of their unique offering in international markets.

As the U.S. launch approaches, food and beverage enthusiasts eagerly await the opportunity to experience the exquisite pairings of jari with various K-food dishes. The brand is on a mission to educate consumers worldwide about Korean culinary practices while showcasing the diversity and richness of Korean spirits through refined selections that honor both tradition and modernity.
