Ryan Oglesby Takes Helm as President of Emergency Nurses Association for 2025
On January 2, 2025, Ryan Oglesby took the helm as the 54th President of the Emergency Nurses Association (ENA), a position he embraces with great enthusiasm and a wealth of experience. Oglesby’s journey into emergency nursing began in his formative years, ignited by a fascination with medical dramas on television and a dedication to service that led him to earn scout badges in first aid. His early commitment to the field culminated in EMT certification, paving the way for a 25-year career in emergency care.
Oglesby has been an integral part of ENA since its inception. In his capacity as a board member for seven years, he faced numerous challenges and opportunities that sharpened his leadership skills. His passion for emergency nursing and advocacy has been recognized widely, and his appointment as the president of the ENA marks a significant milestone in his ongoing commitment to the profession. Alongside Oglesby, the board consists of President-Elect Dustin Bass from North Carolina, Secretary/Treasurer Chris Parker from Virginia, and Immediate Past President Chris Dellinger from West Virginia, among others.
