Jonathan Tower Transitions from Prosperity7 Ventures to Focus on New AI Venture Platform

Jonathan Tower's Strategic Shift in Venture Capital

In a significant career move, Jonathan Tower has announced his decision to step down from his role as the Head of U.S. Ventures at Prosperity7 Ventures, a prominent venture capital firm backed by Aramco, amounting to a robust $3 billion in global capital. Tower's tenure saw exponential growth and strategic milestones for the team in the U.S. market.

Tower joined Prosperity7 in early 2022, marking a pivotal first step as the firm's inaugural U.S.-based executive. His leadership was instrumental in establishing Prosperity7's offices in Palo Alto and New York, and he successfully recruited a team of 14 professionals to shape the U.S. investment landscape. Under his guidance, Prosperity7 successfully deployed over $600 million across more than 60 companies, encompassing cutting-edge sectors such as AI infrastructure, data platforms, robotics, cybersecurity, and enterprise software. Notable investments include companies like Cohere, Hammerspace, Together AI, and others, illustrating the diverse portfolio Tower cultivated during his tenure.

Reflecting on his decision, Tower stated, _“We built the U.S. platform from a blank slate into a fully formed venture business with a strong team and a high-conviction portfolio.”_ His departure comes at a time when he believes opportunity is ripe for an innovative launch within the venture capital sector.

Looking ahead, Tower is set to introduce a groundbreaking AI-native venture platform focused on supporting founders who are at the forefront of the next generation of AI ventures. This platform will not only provide necessary investments but also include a media component aimed at disseminating valuable research and insights across the tech and entrepreneurial communities, further influencing the industry's evolution.
