Dive into the Dairy Farming World through Online Experiences
As part of the collaborative "Dairy Circle Project" launched by Kyodo Dairy and JA Zen-Noh (National Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives), a remarkable opportunity arises for consumers to engage with the dairy farming industry. The 2026 Summer Online Dairy Farm Experience Campaign invites participants to connect live with dairy farmers and gain a wealth of knowledge about milk and dairy products.
Campaign Overview
From July 1 to August 2, you can enter for a chance to be one of 120 selected families invited to participate in this unique online experience on August 17, 18, and 19. Participants can easily register through the side advertisements on JA Zen-Noh milk cartons (available in 1000ml and 500ml sizes) or through Kyodo Dairy's official accounts on X and Instagram.
The initiative aims to foster a deeper appreciation for domestic milk and dairy products by allowing consumers to experience the workings of a farm from the comfort of their homes. Attendees will gain insights into the daily lives of dairy farmers and learn about dairy cattle in real-time, enhancing their connection to the brand and its products.
A Unique Farm Experience
The campaign features Yamagishi Farm, located in Shihoro, Hokkaido, home to approximately 300 dairy cows. Participants will enjoy a multimedia farm tour and receive special materials prior to the event, such as the grass typically consumed by dairy cows, allowing them to sense the smells and textures that characterize a working farm.
Feedback from past participants highlights the value of interactivity in this experience. For instance, one participant noted, "It was engaging to connect online without it feeling one-sided. I found it fascinating to hear directly from Hokkaido!" Another participant mentioned, "Getting to touch and smell feed samples beforehand enriched the experience, making me feel like I was there in person." The desire to visit the farm in person was echoed by many attendees.
Additionally, each participant in this summer event will receive hands-on learning materials for their summer research projects and lunch mats that can be used for school lunches, facilitating continuous engagement with dairy farming education.
